Sunita Singh hails from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. She is the second child among four children, married to Shri Dinesh Kumar Singh from Ballia, and blessed with two sons, Aryush Singh and Aryan Singh. Her schooling has been completed in various districts like Sitapur, Ayodhya, Prayaagraj, Azamgarh, and Varanasi due to transferable government service. She is a postgraduate in economics from Banaras Hindu University. She has also presented papers on Direct and Indirect taxation in national seminars while pursuing her PhD from Banaras Hindu University. Presently, she is working as Assist. Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh.
She loves to write poetry and short stories in Hindi and English, ghazals, nazm, doha, geet, navgeet, etc., in her free time. She likes to read more about the great Hindi Literary Legends like Mahadevi Verma, Maithilisharan gupt, Suryakant Tripathi Niraala along with Gulzar, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Ghalib, Amrita Pritam and so on.
Till date, her 22 books have been published in both languages Hindi and English. These books include poetry, songs, ghazal’s, short stories, children's books, historical fiction.
