Welcome to All Readers and Visitors

It’s a world of literature. Literature depicts a vast canvas of life and mysteries, wonders of the inner realm, and numinous observations through all the pathways of life and realities of love. It is an emotional as well as intellectual endeavor. Difficult situations of life and their observations give significant clues and experiences that make possible creative outcomes. Literature, especially poetry, is a voice to the pain, sufferings, happiness, joy, bliss, and beautiful creations of the Almighty in any form and it erupts directly from the heart. Lessons of pain acquired either through personal experience or observations with a kind, pure, and compassionate heart provide depth to the poetry that touches the heart of readers.

My name is Sunita Singh and I was born in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Presently, I am working as Assist. Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh. I am a Post-graduate in Economics from Banaras Hindu University. I have presented papers on Direct and Indirect Taxation in national-level seminars in the earlier two years of my PhD. Though in my post-graduation, I was not a student of literature, but in graduation, English Literature was one of my favorite subjects. My most favorite writers and poets were William Wordsworth, John Keats, P.B. Shelley, Shakespeare, and Agatha Christie. Hindi Literature also captured my heart since childhood, when I was in class eight. In Hindi Literature, I was fond of reading poetry written by Mahadevi Verma, Sumitranandan Pant, Maithilisharan Gupt, and Suryakant Tripathi Nirala. I used to play with the literary flow of words.

In my childhood also, I used to write poetry and short notes in my diary basically to motivate myself or to come out of certain situations that seemed gloomy to me. Of course, that was kept to me only. The spark of writing was buried beneath the sand of time but ultimately a time came when I was inclined to search for the answer to the question, ‘what is my passion which I can follow with complete devotion of my heart, mind, and soul.’ Then, unknowingly, the search brought me to the path where I am now. This is the path of self-fulfillment. I was much surprised when I saw people were liking my writings. I participated in many contests and emerged as a winner. Even in the first year of publishing my books when my six books were published, my literary works were awarded two very prestigious State-level awards that contributed a lot in enhancing my confidence level. I like to write poetry, especially ghazals, nazm, doha, geet, navgeet, etc., along with stories and fiction in Hindi and English.

Till now, my 22 books have been published in both languages Hindi and English. These books include poetry, song, ghazals, short stories, children's books, and historical fiction.
